The company is currently in a development phase introducing new product lines in the commercial aircraft market as well as new military projects. We are seeking highly talented, innovative and quality-focused individuals of all levels to join our team. The ideal candidate is flexible, organized with proven ability to handle tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment. Some of the responsibilities will include creating bills of materials; routers (planning packets); shop floor, supplier and customer liaison; and methods engineering.
Prepare assembly data sheets for production using Word and CATIA.
Prepare and update planning data sheets for Manufacturing using Word and CATIA.
Work with bills of materials using Excel.
Prepare first article inspection plans using Excel.
Detail and/or assembly methods planning.
Bill and material construction.
Design simple tools using CATIA or by hand.
Departmental, shop, customer, and supplier liaison as necessary.
Tool fabrication planning.
Prepare sub contract documentation using Word.
Other relevant duties as assigned.
Degree/Diploma in Aerospace Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant education.
Must have experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of manufacturing methods relating to aerospace.
Priority will be given to candidates with knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Set up Reduction, or Six Sigma.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, spreadsheet applications and databases.
Proficiency in CATIA is an asset.
NC Programming is an asset.
Understanding of configuration control is an asset.
Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
Successful candidate must meet be able to pass a security clearance check under CGD.
