Complete and review detailed engineering design calculations; coordinating of drawings with drafting staff;
Develop and evaluate design alternatives;
Develop cost estimates and construction specifications;
Write proposals;
Meet with clients;
Provide contract tendering and administration services;
Carry out field work including structure condition assessments, field measurements, and construction inspections;
Contribute to business development, write design reports;
Other duties as assigned.


Eligible for or obtained Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation and licence in Ontario;
Demonstrated technical competencies and skills in civil engineering or structural engineering;
Motivation to broaden experience in the areas of design, construction, project management, operations and supervision within a multi-disciplinary consulting environment;
Experience and aptitude to work with the following software packages: S-Frame, Microsoft Office and AutoCAD is an asset;
Experience with Municipal Drains under the Drainage Act, R.S.O. 1990 is an asset;
Possess strong organizational, oral, written communication, and problem solving skills; have an approachable enthusiastic interpersonal style;
Must be self-starters with the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment;
Prior experience in a small sized, rural consulting firm with an ownership position would be looked upon favourably.
